The plant was built using Arvedi’s own original and competitive process technology, conceived and developed in-house and patented worldwide under the names Arvedi ISP and ESP.

In 2022, AST Terni was acquired by Arvedi from ThyssenKrupp. A major investment plan is aimed at expanding production capacity while supporting initiatives to progressively reduce emissions and implement circular economy principles, in line with the objectives set out in the company’s Sustainability Plan.

The Arvedi Group operates across Europe through a range of activities spanning primary products, such as steel and hot-rolled coils, through to finished products including precision rerolled products, tubes and stainless steel forgings.

Today, the Arvedi Group manufactures flat hot-rolled and cold-rolled carbon and stainless steel products, carbon and stainless steel tubes, and precision rerolled stainless steel strip, and is also active in the trading of steel products. All Group companies have been designed with a strong focus on specialization and optimized in terms of production organization and plant configuration. They employ state-of-the-art technology and proprietary operating practices to enhance efficiency, quality and flexibility.

A highly qualified and experienced management team, leading a lean and flexible organization, works to ensure high standards of production efficiency and product quality, together with a high level of customer service, with particular attention to market developments and requirements.

The Group’s technological, ergonomic and environmental choices are guided by a commitment to people’s safety and well-being, as well as to the responsible management of environmental impacts.

The Holding Company and the Group’s industrial structure

Finarvedi is the holding company of the Arvedi Group, the core business of which is composed of steelmaking operations with volumes of over 6 million tonnes of products characterised by high quality and destined for the most demanding markets.
